Frequently Asked Questions
What should I bring for the 7 Lakes Ausangate Tour Full Day?
Bring hiking boots, waterproof clothing, a warm hat or beanie, gloves, a rain poncho, a power bank, cash, and energy snacks. If you plan to visit the Pacchanta Hot Springs, don't forget your swimsuit and towel.
What type of clothing should I wear?
Cusco has both a dry season and a rainy season, so we recommend dressing in layers: a warm jacket, trekking boots, gloves, a scarf, and a hat.
What does Ausangate Mountain mean to the local communities?
Ausangate Mountain, known as Apu Ausangate, is one of the most sacred mountains in Andean culture, regarded as the "creator of the waters" because its glaciers feed the Vilcanota River.
Is the 7 Lakes Ausangate Tour Full Day physically demanding?
The tour has a moderate difficulty level. The hike lasts approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes at elevations above 4,000 meters, so travelers should spend at least two days acclimatizing in Cusco beforehand.

Cancellations made 30 days or less before the travel date are non-refundable and incur a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations made 31 days or more before departure may be subject to administrative fees.

Yes. Many travelers combine the 7 Lakes Ausangate Tour with other popular day trips, such as Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) or Humantay Lake, since they're located in the same Andean region.
